Inspired by the exploits of the revered alchemists, the alchem1st collection is characterised by the use of mixed media; silk, leather, cotton, canvas, metals, silver, semi-precious stones, river stones, beads, painted glass and intricate hand embroidery all feature in our range of seductive,embellished and accessorised street fashion.

Our focus is towards ready to wear women’s wear for short and forward orders; incorporating day and evening garments, scarves, swimwear, jewellery, belts, bags, hats, sandals, shoes and boots - including some unisex accessories.

The alchem1st logo, a design feature incorporated throughout the range, is devised from an ancient symbol that alchemists used to represent gold. The adaptation from alchemist to alchem1st was inspired by our belief that all people should come first.

We have made a conscious decision to sample and produce in open air factories, set within beautiful tropical gardens overlooking the rice fields of Bali. Here we found the most amiable workers who are unparalleled in their execution of intricate hand work on both leather and fabric, plus some of the most highly skilled silversmiths in the world.

We support local artists who are specialists in their individual fields and help them to maintain the traditional skills that have been handed down to them.

We maintain a regular working week in our factory, where the staff are provided with accommodation, insurance and medical care, plus food during working hours. The environment here is one of a big family community, there is no child labour, everyone is paid a fair wage and conditions areclean, safe, healthy and environmentally friendly.
